Creating Targeted Blog Traffic Isn’t as Hard as You Think
If you’re looking for ways to create targeted blog traffic, it’s easier than you think. Below there are 5 simple tips you can take to make it happen. Tips you can take to begin creating targeted blog traffic right away.

SEO is Not Necessary to Create Blog Traffic

Most people think you need to be some kind of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) expert in order to generate blog traffic of any kind, let alone targeted blog traffic. You do not. In fact, you can create traffic to a blog that isn’t even ranking with the search engines!

Don’t get me wrong, SEO is great and it certainly has its place and value. But it takes time to get ranked with Google, so let’s not focus on that right now. Believe it or not, you CAN create immediate blog traffic without ever ranking on Google. And while you may not believe that, I’m going to show you how!

5 Tips to Create Targeted Blog Traffic

1) Begin with visitors in Mind
What do you want your visitors to do when they get there? You need to know this going in. You always want your readers to engage in what you’re writing, but what else? What else do you want to happen while they’re there?

– Do you want them to opt-in on a capture or squeeze page?
– Do you want them to purchase a product or service?

Know what you’re looking to accomplish up front. Before you even write your blog post or article.

2) Do Your Keyword Research
What specific words and phrases are targeted leads searching for? Again, those people most likely to take the action you want. Think as they would.

Let’s use this blog post as an example. If you’re here, terms like ‘blog traffic’ or ‘creating blog traffic’ are likely to be terms of interest for you. In order to find out how popular those search terms are, you can use the Google Keyword Tool. This will tell you how often a particular term is being searched for.

The popularity of the term as well as the level of competition for that term.
3) Produce the Content Your Audience Wants
Using those keywords, now create the content the people searching for those keywords want. If you were looking for ways to create blog traffic or targeted blog traffic, you have found exactly what you’re looking for.

Lead with value, NOT a sales pitch. People love to buy stuff, but not when you shove it down their throat. Educate them. Inform them. Engage with them. Begin the post with EXACTLY what people can expect to find if they read all the way through. You have approximately SIX SECONDS to capture their interest before they click off your page. So make sure you use an enticing headline and description!

4) Publish Your Content… Everywhere
This doesn’t mean just click the ‘Publish’ button on your blog and you’re done. You want to get as many eyes on your content as possible. That’s how traffic is created. Once your blog is published in its traditional fashion, you should immediately share it on social media. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, StumbleUpon, etc.

And be sure to ping your blog post. This allows your content to be pushed out the to web for others to find. Some sites for that include Pingomatic.com, Pingler.com, etc.

Use sites for article distribution, create a video, post it in forums, use high traffic web 2.0 sites. To do all of this, you will have to…

5) Re-Purpose Your Content
This will be necessary for the different avenues in which you will publish your content. And keep something very important in mind: Not everyone begins their search on Google! That’s right. Some people start searching on YouTube, or on the file sharing sites, or on different forum boards. Which is why it’s so important to have a presence in all of those places.

For the file sharing sites, you’ll want to save your article or blog post as a PDF file. If you’re using Microsoft Word, you can simply click ‘Save As’ and select PDF. The same is true in WordPad. You can go use Zinepal.com. Once you have saved your blog post as a PDF, simply go to and join some file sharing sites, and follow the instructions on uploading your PDF document. Some of the more popular sites are Slideshare.net, Scribd, Box.com, and Docstoc.com. And they’re FREE!

For video, simply read the content of your article into a video with a basic or custom background. If you’re creative and want to add more oomph to your video, even better. YouTube is obviously at the top of the list, but there are others. Metacafe, etc.

Article distribution sites: ezinearticles, articlesbase, buzzle, goarticles, articlesnatch to name a few.

As you see there are many ways to create free targeted traffic for your blog. Start using them and very soon you’ll see
how your blog’s traffic is going bigger and bigger.
